Liberal - The Conversion App
Challenge Brief
The idea for "Liberal" came from a unique class assignment where we were asked to pick an everyday item and use it as an interface.
I chose subtitles, inspired by their journey from an accessibility feature to a must-have in modern media.
This sparked the thought.
what if we could make subtitles even more impactful?
From there, The idea of Liberal came to be.
An app designed to convert audio and video content into Braille & audio descriptions,
making media more accessible for visually impaired individuals.

There are only a few tools available that can effectively convert audio and video content into accessible formats like Braille or audio descriptions, making it hard for users to stay informed and entertained.

LACK OF UNIVERSALLY ACCESSIBLE CONTENT
Visually impaired users struggle with accessing and enjoying media content, which is often not designed with their needs in mind.

NO PASSIVE VOICE CONVERSION
Current offerings rarely convert the active voice in movies to a passive voice format when creating Braille or audio books, limiting clarity and understanding for visually impaired users & audio listeners

Next steps
